Anyone that owns a Saiga-12, from a full length IZ-107 down to a 8" Short Barrel Shotgun, will benefit from Gunfixer's plug no matter what ammo or magazines you use.
Gunfixer's plug has many improvements over the factory plug. Installs in minutes. Simply unscrew the factory plug and screw this one in in only minutes.
Gunfixer's plug has 4 setting compared to the factory's 2!
When on the low brass setting (3) Gunfixer's plug better utilizes the gas from the low power ammo increasing reliability of guns that have issues with low brass ammo. (This is assuming your saiga-12 has all of it's gas ports. If it is missing any ports, the plug will more than likely not help low brass issues. Visit the saiga forums to learn more, including how to add the missing gas ports yourself, www.forum.saiga-12.com)
We feel the biggest benefit it has is it's 3 different high brass settings (2, +1, and 1-), unlike the factory plug that has only 1 high brass setting! Gunfixer's plug lets you adjust the gas system to prevent the high power ammos from over gassing your system. With the factory plug and certain high brass ammos the over gassing can lead to unnecessary wear, beating, and damage of your Saiga-12 and it's parts. Gunfixer's improved plug eliminates this excessive wear, easily taming the heaviest and most powerful loads. The price of Gunfixer's plug is a steal when you consider that most Saiga-12 replacement parts are not available and when you compare the cost of high brass ammo to the cost of the improved plug.
Other improvements of Gunfixer's plug... It is finger adjustable, unlike the factory plug which requires the locking pin to be depressed with a tool to change settings. With Gunfixer's plug you can turn it by hand without manually depressing the locking pin. And if it does become too tight to adjust by hand, from the gas system getting dirty, it has twice the number of tool slots the factory plug does to ensuring you can comfortable reach a slot no matter what setting your on and your furniture set up.
Lately the Saiga-12's have been coming in with the gas block's threads starting in different locations. Also some of the factory plugs have their threads doing the same thing. Either of these things cause the amount of gas entering the system to greatly vary from gun to gun. Gunfixer's plug has accounted for this. The threads on Gunfixer's plug start in the same location on every plug. They are also positioned to account for and accommodate the different starting positions of the gas block threads. This makes the gas flow very close to the same from gun to gun no matter what your gas block's threads starting location is.
Please Note: The numbers marks won't be filled with white like in the picture posted. They will have numbers but will be black. Also disregard the shipping total if you place an order that only includes a gas plug. The shipping calculator will be high. Actual shipping cost will be $3 for a single plug order and will be shipped through the USPS instead of UPS. We make this change manually after the order is placed.
